The Best Company to Rent a New Mobile Trailer.

by Luis and Tanya

My wife and I are starting our old dream, begin in the Catering business. Starting with the most "economic" solution and it's more dynamic. A Mobile Catering Trailer (14 ft or 16 ft).
We were born in Portugal and have strong knowledge of Portuguese, Italian and Spanish cuisine. For this reason, we want to make a stand in the market through differentiation and not be one more of the same.

We are however starting to think of hiring a Mobile Trailer (14 ft to 16 ft), After we know how things will run into financial terms, and if all goes well the first 6 months, we will proceed to buying of our first Mobile Trailer.

We could not find a credible company and which offers us good conditions for hiring a Mobile Trailer (14 ft to 16 ft) and preferably equipped with LONG TERM RENTAL (Maybe with the possibility to buy after 1, 2 or 3 years).

Can you please help us and inform us of some credible companies in the market for us to get a good hire agreement of a Mobile Trailer and preferably new or like-new?

We are thinking of starting our business in Edinburgh and Livingston, but we can hire the Mobile Trailer up to a distance of 200 miles from Edinburgh.

Thanks for your help.

Would like to hear how this turns out for you guys. Another route to think about food markets and fairs where stalls are preerected. I know a pillallia guy who clears £600 a day at a market.

New business - Buy a Trailer
by: The Pirate's Corner

Hello David

We appreciate your response and comments.

We have to think about a proposal for leasing/and purchase a trailer with our own needs.

We are going to try it this way. It may even be feasible. We hope to have the same success you had in your start up, and the same you are having now.
It's been a nightmare to get financial support and a small loan to start our business.

But we're not going to quit. If you have any tips to help us at this early stage please don't hesitate to do so.

Thank you very much for your help.

Mobile Catering Hire
by: David

Dear Luis & Tanya

It's good to hear that you are thinking of starting a mobile catering business with a different theme to what is already available in the marketplace.

Over the years, Excel Trailers Ltd ‎have hired/built catering trailers for many people to achieve their dream of setting up their own business.

I understand your desire to hire a catering trailer before‎ purchasing one, however, I have not come across any catering trailer hire companies that hire 14ft or 16ft trailers. Hire trailers tend to be smaller for example 8ft or 10ft as this is where the current demand is for hiring trailers. Also the hire trailers may not have the equipment you need to run your business.

Additionally, if you are looking to bring a different type of food to the market then your catering trailer will also need to be branded in a way that will make you stand out from others and branding of this nature is not likely to be possible with a hired trailer.

Have you considered leasing a trailer, this is where you usually pay a 20% deposit and the remainder is paid in 33 (or more) instalments. This way you can manage your cash flow and there are some tax efficient savings that can be made. (An Accountant is the best person to advise further on this).

With leasing, the trailer is yours to brand, design or equip how you wish from the beginning of the process I hope the above helps and good luck with your new venture and for any more questions please contact Excel Trailer Here

Best of luck,
