Hi Brian,

Good to hear from you and I totally understand your situation. Starting a mobile catering business is just like any other business so you must consider all the options and do you own market research to determine if it’s the best opportunity for you. If you have a passion for cooking and don’t mind long hours or hard work you are on the right path, but still I would as much information as possible and undertake some through research before you part with your saving. At least this way you can make an informed decision. I would recommend starting off with my Free basic getting started guide here

Or I would also honestly recommend my Getting Started Pack this contains a great deal of information and will also help you make a more informed decisions it also includes a working profit and loss template that will help you see the actual running costs of the business. Now, you don’t have to get this pack, but I really believe it will give you a comprehensive view of what it takes to get started and if this business is for you.

This can still be a great opportunity providing you understand and put into practice all the steps you need to get started. I’m not saying it will be easy, but it’s certainly achievable for most people. So I’ll just end by saying don’t jump in, take it slow, find out if this is something you really want to invest a good portion of your saving on.
You find the following stories an encouragement, but please remember not everyone is this successful when first starting out.

Flippin Burgers in Somerset

My First Year Of Business

My First 3 Days of Mobile Catering

I really hope this helps and whatever you decide Brian; I’m wishing you all the best for the future.

David
