Is Mobile Catering Business Profitable?

Hello I was interested in your story I live in Scotland and I am interested in starting up my own burger van business.

I wanted my son and partner to run it so that I could keep my job, to begin with. Can u tell me is there defiantly a market out there for mobile catering and is it profitable.

Hi Anne,

Yes there is definitely a market out there for great tasting, affordable, quality food. Mobile catering is a multi million pound industry and anyone with passion can have a slice of the profits.

Don?t get me wrong it?s a lot of hard work but there are hundreds of fairs, fetes, concerts festivals etc to provide catering for.

Also there are many mobile caterers who have their own permanent everyday pitch - this also earns them a good income.

As with any business some will earn more than others and it just a case of finding the right profitable pitch to trade from.

Many people make a successful living from mobile catering and it just a case of doing the research to make sure you get off to a flying start.
