I have two children and a partner who is disabled and we receive various types of benefit's and i am seriously considering starting up my own burger van business but would i be entitled to any type of the benfits?

I have mentioned as it is a risk and for the first few months i could end up with no profit to cover the rent?

Very Courageous

Hi Daniel,

I think you are very courageous in wanting to start your own catering business. I can?t really advise you on this occasion ? you should really talk to someone in the benefits office or you?re local job centre who should be able to give you much more accurate information or least point you in the right direction.

It?s good that you?re thinking it through as with any business, it may take some time to turn a profit. Also this can be increasingly more stressful when you have such big commitments as stake.

Whatever the outcome please keep us updated.
Wishing you the best of luck on your journey.

David
