Advice needed on LPG Generator Mobile Catering

by Helen
(Wellingborough )

Hi,
I’m just buying a converted horse box with only electric hookup, I’m not cooking inside I will only be using fridges, tea urn and lighting. I’ve noticed everyone recommends gas over electric so is an lpg generator the way to go ? Im very new to all this so all advice would be appreciated,
Thanks Helen

LPG Generator Mobile Catering
by: David

Hi Helen,

If all the catering equipment in your catering vehicle is electric then a dedicated LPG generator is the way to go. They offer a single clean source of power and free from any ground/soil contamination which is important when you trade at events.

The dual-fuel generator is also a great choice, these run on both LPG and Petrol/Diesel but may not be accepted by all landowners because of the potential for ground contamination which is a growing concern for the environment.

Avoid petrol/diesel generators, these are messy, more expensive and heavier (weight of fuel and engine) to carry/lift.

Greengear supply a good range of LPG only generators with an easy push-button start for mobile catering that you may want to consider.

Either way, using a dedicated LPG generator is the way to go.

Best of luck
David
