Do you need a permission license to trade on Private Land - for mobile catering trailer? And how long does it take to get the licence from the council if needed, finally what are the likely costs involved?

Mobile Catering Permission
by: David

Yes you do need permission to trade on private land; you need the permission of the land owner who may also want to charge you rent.

Then you need to register your food business with the local council who usually charge a yearly fee. This can be anything from £200 - £400 + per year depending on the individual council. Furthermore this process can take anywhere up to 6 weeks for them to inspect and approve you and your food vehicle.

Hope this helps
