Selling Beer in My Mobile Catering Van Busines

Hi, thank you for your great story on starting a mobile catering business.
My question is what to do when I like to sell beer in my catering van or trailer. I am German and like to sell German food and a nice cold beer with it.

Hi Holger,

You may be able to sell beer at your trailer but you will have to contact your local council and find out if you can apply for a TEN (temporary events notice) this usually grants you permission to sell alcoholic drinks on a temporary basis.

The sale of alcoholic drinks is permitted under the condition that you hold your own temporary events notices to be obtained from your local council.

Amongst other things you will be restricted to serving drinks in either a plastic or polystyrene cup, so no bottles to be sold for consumption.

Please contact your local council for full details and instructions.
