My Son is 22 with a Passion for Food – But He Also Has Autism – Start Mobile Catering

by Adam

Hi, First thanks for your story on starting a mobile catering business.
My Son is 22 with a passion for food - he also has autism which means if we don’t create something for her he will end up at a sheltered work shop and hating it.

Do you have any suggestions or tips in regard to keeping loyal customers?
In the long run we would like to establish a niche market around good healthy alternative food CF and GF (Diet Gluten Free Casein Free )servicing local area 3 mornings a week and providing an alternative means of work for our son.

Any help or advice or support would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Adam

How to Keep Loyal Customers
by: David

Hi Adam,

I really admire the fact that you are thinking ahead and want to create something for your Son
In regards to your questions, the best way that I found to help keep customer loyalty is to offer:

  • Great service with a smile

  • Competitive prices

  • Build a relationship with them

  • Talk to your customers regularly

  • Consistency in food taste and quality

  • Offer special prices/discounts if applicable

  • Offer a unique service (offer a copy of the daily paper to read)

From my own personal experience if you can introduce the following points into your business you will have the same customers coming to you over and over again. Did you know that it?s the top 20% of customers which are responsible for 80% of your profit?

Anyway, wishing you both the great success in starting you business, and please keep me updated.
