What Turnover from Outdoor Events for Mobile Coffee Van?

I currently source fair-trade fresh ground coffee to various retailers and am looking to set up a mobile catering trailer so that I am able to sell my fair-trade coffees and other hot drinks as well as cakes at various different outdoor events.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me an estimated turnover on the various kinds of events for coffee sales (I’m looking to price them at around £1.50) either form experience of just any knowledge you might have.

Hi Emma,

This is a difficult question only because you could potentially earn anywhere between £100-£1000 + per day.

It is all depends on the size of the event, how many other mobile catering trailers are present, where your pitch is situated and how many people will be attending the event.

Also I don?t know if you really need fully equipped mobile catering trailer if you only intend to sell coffee, hot drinks and cakes. Maybe a coffee cart of some sort, which are usually a lot smaller and versatile i.e. outside station, bus garages, tourist hot spots, day events and many other events.

They?re a lot easier to store, clean and maintain so worth considering, before you push ahead.
