We've Found a Really Good Catering Trailer to Sell Indian Food

by Sal

I was intrigued by the article you have on this website. My brother wants to do a similar thing, but with Indian food. Can you possibly send me your step by step guide?

Also, do you think if we buy a trailer first and then confirm a pitch (preferably an open market area), we would have too much trouble?

You see we've found a really good trailer with all the appropriate certificates (PAT, Gas safe) and if we don't buy it someone else will. We aim to become a successful mobile Indian caterer. If we achieve this in one town, then we intend to look at other towns. But firstly, we need to be able to pay ourselves a decent wage after expenses.

Buying a Catering Trailer First?
by: David

Hi Sal,

It's easy to buy a trailer, much more difficult to find a good pitch. I receive emails all the time from people telling me that they just can find a pitch. So their catering trailer is just sitting there gathering dusk and not earning them any money.

I would say, really try and find a pitch first, but if your heart is set on a trailer that you like, then go for it.

It just means that you will have to work twice as hard to secure a pitch. It seems that you have great ambition and drive, keep going.
