Should We Purchase This Food Trailer Business?

We have been asked if we want to purchase a hot food trailer. It is already on a pitch. Can we get the landlord to assign the licence to us, and what legal licences or certificates do we need?

Hello There,

If it’s already on a legal pitch, you should speak to someone in the council to see if that business has been registered with the Environmental Health. This way you can see if his business is legitimate and has been checked by the council. If the landlord is a private individual then he should put your name on the agreement and specify the terms of the business.(seek legal advice to make sure)

The trailer should also have

Lpg certificate, Electric certificate, you should have food and hygiene certificate. Liability insurance and probably some trailer insurance also. This are the main ones to worry about.
