Set Up Mobile Catering Business in My Town

by sukhdev singh
(wolverhampton )

Hi I am thinking of buying a catering trailer, how would I go about getting into the big events, and what is the procedure.

I want to set up the mobile catering business in Bridgenorth town. Please tell me how can I get licence or get approval from council.

Thanks
Sukhdev

Mobile Catering In Your Town

Hi Sukhdev,

For the big events you would need to contact event organisers well in advance to reserve a pitch for you.

Depending on the size and popularity of the event it can range from £100-£1000?s of pounds, but I would not recommend doing this if you are a complete beginner.

As purchasing stock, cooking and serving for large quantities of people is not very easy, if you are just starting out.

Before that you will need to register with the local council who will inspect your catering trailer and food and hygiene certificate

As for setting up in a town near you, again you should either contact the council or seek permission for a pitch on private land.

It may be worth you signing up for a free Starting a Mobile Catering Business

which will include a lot more information.

Best of luck
Regards
David
