Converted Generator Using Kit

Hi David, really useful site you have here, just a quick question for you, is it possible to run three fridges a small freezer, lights and a deep fat fryer from an inverter, also is it safe to have the batteries inside the van considering the gasses that may come from them, many thanks

I’ve been running my van for 18 months now and on my third pitch which seems to be more promising than the last two, been there 9 weeks now and apart from the usual run ins with the local council so far so good, not looking to become a millionaire, just want a decent lifestyle for my family.

Again, many thanks

Michael

Try Using LPG Generator
by: David

Hi Michael,

Good to hear from you!

You may find this post helpful in answering your question:

Sine Wave Inverter

Also, I don't think it's advisable to run so much equipment on just an inverter and batteries. You may be better off getting an LPG generator or kit to convert normal generator into one that uses LPG and use that instead as this is what I used in my catering van.

I did use an inverter, but this was just used to power the lights during the winter months and the battery was situated in an outside compartment, and not inside the trailer itself, which is also considered a hazard.

Hope this helps Michael,
