Possible Low LPG Gas Pressure – What’s The Cause

Hi guys

I am new to the business and have purchased a catering trailer, I had a trial run today for friends and family and I had some issues with my appliances, I have had everything certified, I lit the griddle, ban Marie and tea urn, and everything was fine, then they all kept going out I was able to start them again but the heat was less powerful and the griddle was just warm not hot.

Any ideas, the gas bottle is full.it felt like reduced pressure

Viv

Low Gas Pressure
by: David

Hi Viv,
With regards to this issue you say that you have had everything tested, if this is the case you should contact the gas engineer again and explain the situation, since this should have all been tested.

I’ve experienced the same problem but knew this was down to one of the 19kg bottles running low which just meant that I would start the secondary bottle, but you’ve indicated that the bottle is full, maybe try another full bottle. It could be down to the regulator, but I can’t be sure and I’m not an expert.

The best way to find out is to get it tested again and see what they find out. Do let us know what’s causing the problem so we can update everyone.

Best of luck
David
