Mobile Catering Insurance Requirements and Costs

Firstly, I would like to commend you on the excellent detail included on your website. I and a friend are planning to start a mobile catering business.

To start with, we will be hiring a mobile catering unit and a staff of two people. Given the small size of this business, could you please let me know the possible types of insurance we would need and the cost of each insurance (approx). I need this info to calculate my overall startup costs.

Also, could you please include a small list of companies that provide this insurance.

Regards,
Rohit

by: David

Hi Rohit,

Wishing you every future success with you new mobile catering business, below is a list of the types of mobile catering insurance you will need.

General Catering Trailer insurance- insure you most prized asset

Caterer Public Liability - claims made by members of the public

Caterer Products Liability - claims made against you should you accidentally serve up a batch of food or beverages that makes your customers ill with food poisoning.

Caterer Employers Liability ? this type of liability cover is a legal requirement

You will really need to contact the insurance companies to get an exact quote as prices can vary greatly.

For mobile catering insurance providers you could try the following:

Catering Van or Trailer Insurance Quote

Again best of luck.
