I Have £6000 in My Bank Account - Is This Enough to Start

by Fanian

Hello there, I want to start a small business with a burger van. I have 6000k pounds in my bank account for this;

I want to know if this is enough to get in to the business. I need to buy my own burger van and then find the right spot to sale food. I've been a waiter for more than 10 years and I really want to start working for myself.

I have the food and hygiene certificate, all I need to know is if I need more money to start or should I look on the eBay and try to buy a van and start the business???

Finally I was thinking to start with the business and invest my whole savings in it. Me and my wife we both work in restaurants and we know to cook, we have customer service skills and it won’t be a problem to approach our guest.

Start Mobile Catering With £6000
by: David

Hi Fanian,

Yes, £6000 is enough to start a mobile catering business, do look on eBay, Gumtree and other classified add websites that specialize in selling catering trailers.

Some people also sell a complete running business, trailer, pitch and customers which is the fastest way of getting started. Just make sure to go down in person and take a look at the trailer before buying to make sure you are getting what you paid.

Please read this important post:

Buying a Catering Trailer - Beware

Don't rush in, make sure to find a good pitch as many people buy a trailer first and then can?t find a pitch to trade from.

Wishing you both all the best in starting your business.

Best of luck
David
