How to Find and Apply for Catering Pitches

by Natalie
(West Yorkshire )

I am an owner of a cafe but would love to branch out and cater for events in the next year or so,I'v done the research into the licenses,I have my business plan and would be creating a portfolio before I apply for sites. BUT before I take the leap I would like to know how to apply for pitches (for example, racecourse, rugby grounds) I'v looked on local authorities websites, which is a mind field and can't seem to contact the right people. And I'v googled all I can google. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.
Regards Natalie.

Find a pitch

Hi Natalie,

You could also try www.retailconcessions.co.uk who manages pitches for places like B&Q, Homebase and Wickes. Search out locally listed events in local papers, radio and libraries.
Search online for local sporting type groups where your target market could be meeting like athletics, cricket, cycling, football, running, equestrian, and rugby type groups or clubs

Finally for a list of events from around the country get a copy of the events book guide www.eventsbook.co.uk This will list all the event organisers and its then just a matter of contacting them.

Best of luck,
David
