Hi There,

You have asked a very difficult question, companies that hire out catering vans are in short supply.

Catering van hire is seen by some rental companies as much more expensive vehicle to keep and maintain compared to a catering trailer.

With soaring fuel prices, road tax, wear and tear and the fact that these types of vehicles are more likely to be stolen, most companies are reluctant to rent these types of vehicles out.

Secondly if you need a specific type, in that it’s needs to be automatic over manual this may make things even more difficult.

Now I am not saying it’s impossible, but you will have to hunt around, or get an automatic van vehicle converted for this type of use. There are a number of companies that carry out catering van conversions, so this may help.

Saying that I have just seen on Ebay and Gumtree an automatic catering van for sale, unfortunately it’s not for hire.
