Use a LPG Gas Engineer
by: David

Hi Dave,

It’s a legal requirement to have all equipment installed/inspected by a GAS Safe engineer, and you may also want to check that the equipment has a CE mark,(unless manufactured before 1996) So don’t attempt it yourself.

The person who I brought my first catering van from fitted the griddle himself, and the flame failure device was not hooked up properly.

Because of this, the wind blew out the flame and the flame failure device did not turn off the gas, so when he went to light the burner, his whole hand receive a very nasty burn.

I strongly advise you to get it installed by a pro.

Best of luck and stay safe!

David
