by Stuart
(Wales)

Hi,great site, doing up a trailer at present and gas controls on griddle need replacing (photo), I cannot seem to find any controls like this, I would like to just replace the front part of the control and new nobs other wise I will have to put in new flame control unit and the gas feed as well. The make is Bromic and i think are New Zealand made. Any advice would be helpfull.
Thanks stuart.

P.S. Could not upload photo to your site so on you tube.

Hi Ian just emailed Brecon Boilers with details, fingers crossed. Do you do gas installations on catering trailers, my trailer needs a complete gas re-fit, would do it my self but the law say NO. I can travel or I am in near Crosshands(end of M4. thanks Stuart

CE Mark
by: David

Hi Stuart,

I don’t know enough about this unit to advise you, but I would say that you really need to get a registered LPG engineer to come in and make the repairs, it’s a legal requirement that only qualified engineers can work on LPG appliances.

Also, if you can’t see a CE mark anywhere on this unit, you may find that it will not pass an LPG test which means you can’t get a test certificate.

I say this as another person had the same problem when she brought a Baine Marie without a CE mark (she didn’t know at the time) when it was time to get it tested the engineer refused to test it because it didn’t have a CE mark.

In the end she has to buy a new unit; so please make sure before you do any more work or spend any more money that it’s fit for purpose.

Best of luck and let me know how it goes.
David
