Asking Around and Phoning for Mobile Catering Pitches

by charlie
(nottinghamshire)

I have been trawling the internet looking for sites, car boots councils etc to find a site were

I can put my trailer as I have a small jacket spud trailer. My councils run a no street trading policy and I have looked for private land which is easier said than done.

Even the car boots are not interested they already have their own regular caterers, any advice on what I can do next please as this is getting really frustrating.

Thanks.

Find Your Mobile Catering Pitch
by: David

Hi There,

Yes this is a tough question, only because I recommend people not buy a trailer/van until you secure a pitch first.

I was faced with the same problem and what I eventually had to do was broaden my search for pitches, as I was only looking my immediate, where no pitches were available.

I eventually found a good pitch which was 20 miles from my house, so try looking further afield.

Search through the business classifieds papers such as Dalton weekly, Loot and eBay on line. There is no quick and easy answer Iā€™m afraid, it's just a matter of being persistent and creative when looking around.

Try the Local Park, and private parks that have football, rugby and any other regular sporting activities especially on a weekend. It does not have to be a massive event, just enough to get you started, established and earning some income

Best of luck as always and keep going!

David
