Mobile Catering Van Gas Installation

by Manny
(Walton-on-Thames, Surrey)

I`m converting a van into a catering van and now need to connect 5 gas units.I`ve looked around for a catering LPG engineer but could not found one in Surrey or nearby.

So I`ve decided to install the gas myself, but the question is, Am I allowed to do so, although I`ve been in the catering business for a long time and know what safety measures are required?

Many thanks,
Manny

Mobile Catering Gas Check
by: David

Hi Manny,

I know that you are having problems finding a suitable LPG gas fitter in your area, but I would not go down this route as you still need a LPG gas certificate.

Many pitches, event?s organisers will now expect to see a gas/electric certificate for your catering vehicle before you start trading.

Please do try the Gas Safe website - also check this post for contact details of gas LPG engineers but please make sure that they have all the right credentials and registered before you employ their services.

Best of luck

David
