Transporting Gas Cyliner for Generator

by Elizabeth
(Lincolnshire)

Hi,

I have recently purchased a coffee trailer and it came with a Honda generator that can run on LPG or Petrol. The previous owner always ran the generator off LPG and that is what I will continue to do. However, the trailer has a gas cupboard at the front which stores 2 19kg gas bottles to supply the coffee machine and boiler so there is no room to store the smaller 13kg gas bottle for the generator. Is it legal to have the extra bottle in the back of the trailer in transit and remove it as soon as I get to the event? Any advice greatly received, thank you.

Hello Elizabeth,

Please visit the link below as it gives guidance.

Also check the generator gas draw off rate, as I suspect 13kg is not adequate.

Best,
Gerrard
