How Do I Find Out What Catering Pitches Are Available In London

by Jack
(Essex)

Hello my name is Jack and I have just started my own hog roast business. I was wondering if there is a way I can find out what pitches are available in central London where I can have a 3m x 3m pitch selling hog roast, I don't need any electric supply. I am looking for somewhere in central London where sales can be guaranteed. Many thanks

We have space for a unit in Windsor for the Royal wedding.

Catering Pitch In London Hog Roast
by: David

Hi Jack,

Good to hear from you!

The only way to find out if any pitches are available to go looking; especially in Central London where a pitch can cost a premium rate. I would start visiting all the local markets like Ladbroke Grove, Camden Market or other various Farmers markets; this link has a list of London Based Markets

For the type of food that you are offering, you want to try and setup where your target market will be; this could be outside a pub which has a small front space or even a beer garden that you can rent. You could start searching on Ebay for people that want to sell their catering pitch, Gumtree or other local business papers/websites.

You can also contact Retail Concessions who organise all the food caterers for the likes of Homebase, Wicks and B&Q to see if they have anything available. However, I think you best chance will come from spotting a suitable location yourself and asking for permission to trade.

Parks, Stations and other similar places where you will have a larger number of footfall should also be on your list of sites to investigate. Sorry I don’t have anything else solid to offer you.
